About Five Trails District

The mission of Scouting is to prepare young people to make ethical choices throughout their lives by installing the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Scout Oath:

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

A Scout Is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent

Five Trails District serves youth in most of the communities of Irving and Coppell, Texas. The District is composed of Cub Scout Packs for boys and girls in grades K-5, Scouts BSA Troops for boys & girls (segregated) ages 11 to 18, and Venture Crews for boys and girls ages 14 to 21.

To achieve this mission, we provide the resources and training to our leaders (Scouters) and youth.  Our District is supported by a District Committee of Scouters and community leaders which provides leadership and support to the Charter Organization partners and the individual Scouting Units.

We stand behind Scouting because we have all seen the invaluable and positive experiences that the scouting program brings to the lives of young men and women. To find a unit near you, visit BeaScout.org.
